Textures in this category can be used for many different renderings in 3D - whether you use them for fantasy games or realistic design, there should be a wood style here that will work.
Photographic textures can be useful in the creation of backgrounds or as layered parts of a photoshop collage, and can be used to create some fun and funky text styles (See our photoshop tutorials for help with fonts in photoshop for text-masking and funky fun styles). They can also be used in 3D rendering software and in the creation of games or in virtual worlds such as "Second Life", Active Worlds (for a list of virtual world games try 3D Virtual Worlds List) or other similar games. They can be used as a new background in a photograph, business cards, calendars, posters or greeting cards too.
You can even use them as web backgrounds for your website. They also make great framed art when printed and you may print these on large art papers or canvas for your own home.
