To download the textures right click on the thumbnail. When the full size image opens in a new window, right click, select "save as" and save the file to your own computer.

Throughout our site you'll find a wide variety of textures and image files for use in programs like photoshop, gimp, paint shop pro, paint.net and other similar programs. Some will be useful in collage programs and 3D programs, and game engines as well - please be sure to check the other image sections before you leave. Don't forget to check some of the listings you'll find on our pages for the large variety of free software you might not have tried before. Lots of fun things you can do with our image, graphics and textures in these free editors - oh yeah, and try some of the free online image editors!

As a photographer and digital artist, I always strive to look for the different or unique - and when I can't find what I need, I go to work and create it. These textures are the result of my search for suitable textures for a variety of purposes - sometimes collage, sometimes 3D work, and sometimes as backgrounds for photography work. My hope is that you'll find them useful too. If you are looking to try out creating some of your own texture files, start with some of these and manipulate them into something different by using one of these textures or backgrounds and adding your own touches or creative process - from one free texture you could turn out three or four files for your own use.

Not all the files available have been uploaded in their largest size. Most 3D software only requires small size images, so if the file you're after is not as large as you'd like, please contact us and as if we have it in a larger size. We just might, and if we do, we'll be happy to send it along to you.
