The textures of nature - that's pretty much what you'll find in this section. Blue sky and clouds, sunrises and sunsets, stormy skies, ice, snow, and a variety of textures that can be used to render ground planes or water planes. Many of these will be suitable for use in creating virtual worlds (try Sketchup or  a good list of free 3D programs can be found at this site or at this freeware site.) Some will also make interesting backgrounds, and perhaps even photoshop brushes and custom shapes for 2D artists. Photographic textures of water, sky, and ice make great textures for use in collage and overlay work in photoshop and other similar graphic and photo editing software. Also be sure to check the free stock photos section, because you'll probably find more images containing this type of texture.
