To download the textures right click on the thumbnail. When the full size image opens in a new window, right click, select "save as" and save the file to your own computer. A few of these files were created in photoshop, but most of them are photography textures. Besides these pages full of textures, you might want to check in the royalty free stock photos section. There are a lot of free images in that area which contain textures you can crop out and use in other programs, like game engines and other similar graphics software. The .png section contains images of objects isolated on transparent backgrounds, which you may also find useful in game creation.

Photographic textures can be useful in the creation of backgrounds or as layered parts of a photoshop collage, and can be used to create some fun and funky text styles (See our photoshop tutorials for help with fonts in photoshop for text-masking and funky fun styles). They can also be used in 3D rendering software and in the creation of games or in virtual worlds such as "Second Life", Active Worlds (for a list of virtual world games try 3D Virtual Worlds List) or other similar games. They can be used as a new background in a photograph, business cards, calendars, posters or greeting cards too.
