To download the texture files, click the thumnail. The full size download opens in a new window. Right click, and select "save as" to save the file somewhere on your own computer (please do not hotlink directly to our images - if you want to link one for others, just link to this page instead).

We've also got a fair size collection of free stock photos you might want to have a look at. Textures can be extracted from these for use in other software - in particular 3D imaging or game creation software. Game engines or 3D software often only require a small image to create a texture from so the stock images and texture files are good for multiple uses, from three-D work, to games, to graphics,collages and even printable artwork. (If you haven't tried some of these types of work, you can find a listing of free or open source software with links to their sites and download pages on our Software Page.)

Good textures for game creation or 3D rendering programs can be found in this section. Be sure to check the full size images for downloading. Many are photographic textures, and quite a few are textures created using photoshop, apophysis, and some with corel paint. If you are looking for something in particular and can't find it, feel free to ask. We'll be happy to work with you to provide an image or texture suitable for your needs. Oh - and don't forget to check the .png section - we have a lot of free images (from very small to large images) on transparent backgrounds in that section, and many of these will be suitable for use in things like hidden object games!
